Updated UNI-T Clamp Meters Registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan

On August 16, 2024, the state testing of the updated and improved clamp meters produced by UNI-TREND TECHNOLOGY was successfully completed.

TOO Test Instruments, the official distributor in Kazakhstan, has confirmed that the following models are now approved for import and industrial use, as certified by the relevant documentation: UT200B+, UT203+, UT204+, UT205A+, UT206A+, UT206B, UT208B, UT210 (A, B, C, D, E), UT211B, UT216C, UT219 (E, M), UT220, UT221, UT222, UT281 (A, C).

Clamp meters are essential measurement tools for electricians across all industrial sectors, including construction sites, electrical workshops, and during commissioning works. In addition to measuring current without breaking the circuit, modern clamp meters integrate nearly all the functions of multimeters, such as measuring voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and more. Some models even allow for direct current measurement without breaking the circuit.

Significant updates to the clamp meters include the addition of several advanced features, such as:

• TrueRMS: Accurate measurement adjustment based on waveform shape.
• LoZ: Reduced input impedance to minimize interference in measurement results.
• LPF: Harmonic filter to suppress higher-order harmonics, enhancing accuracy in circuits with frequency converters and other frequency synthesizers.
• VFC: Measurement adjustment in circuits with frequency converters.
• NCV: Non-contact detection of hazardous voltage.
• Inrush Current: Detection of maximum inrush current at the start of devices and circuits.
• Diode: Testing of p/n junctions for breakdown and continuity.
• Zero: Zeroing in direct current measurements to reduce the influence of external magnetic fields.
• Hold: Capture and display of the last reading.
• Max/Min: Capture of maximum or minimum values.
• Flashlight: Work area illumination.
• Backlight: Display backlighting.

The design and circuitry of clamp meters are continually being improved to speed up work processes and enhance measurement safety.
